Payment and Refund Policy
Read the BCKLNX payment and refund policy, including pricing structure, payment terms, order confirmation, replacements, credits, and refund conditions.
Overview
This Payment and Refund Policy explains how BCKLNX handles pricing, payments, order confirmation, refunds, replacements, and related commercial matters.
The purpose of this policy is to make the payment side of the service clearer before a project moves into execution. Sensible idea, really. People tend to prefer fewer surprises once money is involved.
This policy should be read together with any applicable service agreement, order confirmation, campaign brief, or other written terms agreed between BCKLNX and the client.
Where a separate written agreement applies, that agreement may supplement or override parts of this policy to the extent explicitly stated.
1. Pricing Model
BCKLNX operates on a project-based pricing model.
Pricing may vary depending on factors such as:
- selected website or publisher opportunity,
- niche or topic,
- GEO or audience relevance,
- placement format,
- content requirements,
- turnaround expectations,
- link conditions,
- scope of coordination required,
- overall project complexity.
BCKLNX charges for the service provided, which may include outreach coordination, publisher communication, content handling, publication workflow, administrative processing, and other execution-related work.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, pricing should be understood as pricing for managed services and agreed deliverables, not as a direct pass-through handling of funds between the client and a third party.
Any quoted pricing is subject to confirmation at the time of execution if publisher-side conditions, availability, or requirements have changed.
2. Payment Terms
Payment terms may vary by project, but in general BCKLNX may require one of the following:
- full prepayment,
- partial prepayment,
- milestone-based payment,
- other agreed commercial terms confirmed in writing.
An order is not treated as ready for execution until the required payment condition has been satisfied.
Accepted payment methods may vary depending on the project and jurisdiction. Public-facing payment methods may be presented in a standard business format, while additional payment options may be available where appropriate and agreed.
BCKLNX reserves the right to refuse a payment method, request an alternative payment method, or delay execution until payment is properly confirmed.
Any fees, currency conversion costs, transfer costs, or payment processing charges imposed by third parties may be allocated according to the agreed project terms or the practical payment method used.
3. Order Confirmation
A project or placement request is considered confirmed only when all required elements are sufficiently clear, which may include:
- project scope,
- selected opportunity or website,
- pricing,
- content responsibility,
- link preferences where applicable,
- payment status,
- any other material execution terms.
BCKLNX may treat a request as pending until the above points are sufficiently defined.
If the project depends on third-party publisher confirmation, final execution remains subject to the publisher’s current availability, rules, pricing, and acceptance of the requested placement.
Where a publisher changes terms before execution begins, BCKLNX may present updated terms, alternative options, or another workable commercial resolution.
4. When a Refund May Be Considered
Refunds are not automatic and are considered only in defined situations.
A refund may be considered where, for example:
- a selected publisher becomes unavailable before fulfillment,
- a selected publisher materially changes the price before execution and the client does not accept the update,
- a selected publisher materially changes the relevant terms before execution and the client does not accept the change,
- the requested placement becomes impossible to complete for reasons outside the client’s control,
- BCKLNX determines that a refund is the most appropriate resolution in the circumstances.
The availability and amount of any refund may depend on:
- how far the project has already progressed,
- whether content has already been prepared,
- whether external costs have already been incurred,
- whether an alternative solution is available,
- the specific written terms agreed for the project.
Where partial work has already been completed, a partial refund may be more appropriate than a full refund.
5. Replacement Placement and Project Credit
In some situations, BCKLNX may offer one of the following instead of a refund:
- a replacement placement,
- a project credit,
- a revised execution path,
- another commercially reasonable solution.
This may happen where:
- the original placement opportunity is no longer available,
- a publisher-side issue affects the original plan,
- an alternative site or opportunity can reasonably satisfy the client’s request.
A replacement or project credit may be the preferred solution where the project can still be completed in substance without restarting the process from zero.
BCKLNX reserves the right to propose a replacement or credit before issuing a refund where such a solution is commercially and operationally reasonable.
6. Situations That Are Generally Not Refundable
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, refunds are generally not available in situations such as:
- the client changes their mind after execution work has already started,
- the client delays responses in a way that disrupts execution,
- the client fails to provide necessary materials or approvals,
- content has already been prepared as agreed,
- the client requests changes outside the agreed scope,
- the client objects to publisher rules that were already disclosed or reasonably implied by the placement format,
- the placement has already gone live in the agreed form,
- the client expects indexation where indexation was never guaranteed,
- the client requests a post-approval change that cannot be implemented practically.
This section exists because service work can involve real labor and third-party coordination before the final publication appears. It is unfortunate that this needs stating, but experience suggests otherwise.
7. Review and Commercial Discretion
Refund, replacement, or credit decisions are reviewed based on the specific facts of the project.
BCKLNX may consider:
- the agreed scope,
- written project terms,
- the stage of execution,
- publisher-side circumstances,
- client-side delays or changes,
- content already delivered,
- external costs already incurred,
- the practicality of alternative solutions.
Nothing in this policy requires BCKLNX to issue a refund where the circumstances do not reasonably support one.
Likewise, nothing in this policy prevents BCKLNX from offering a refund, credit, or replacement where it considers that outcome commercially appropriate.
The goal is to resolve issues reasonably, not mechanically.
